Coach Blaseck


Coach Blaseck currently works with the Varsity Baseball Team. Specifically, he works as the team's hitting coach. He started coaching baseball in the spring of 1984 as the Head Freshman coach at Arlington High School. After career changes got back into coaching baseball at Lake Park High School as the assistant sophomore coach and advanced to the Head Sophomore coach in six years spent there. I spent 3 summers working for the Chicago White Sox Baseball Academy teaching in their summer camp program.   In 2003, he came to Jacobs High School again as the Head Freshman coach.  From there, he moved up to the varsity team in 2005 as the Hitting coach.  The summer of 2006 as the acting Head Coach took the Jacobs team to place 3rd in the state summer tournament. .


Coach Murray says, “I have known Jim since 2008 and have a lot of respect for him as a coach and as a person.  He knows the game well and he is what I call a lifer.  His experience will allow our players to build the inner confidence they need to be successful.”
