Coach Murray


Coach Murray has been with the program since 2008 and has been head coach since 2011.  The Golden Eagles are coming off their best season in program history. The 2013 team won their first Regional and Sectional Titles in school history. In addition, the team won a school record 25 games. Prior to becoming the head coach, he spent three seasons working as the varsity pitching coach. During that span, he coached three consecutive all-conference pitchers.  Before arriving at Jacobs, Coach Murray was the varsity pitching coach at Westhill High School in Stamford, CT.  In 2008, Westhill won the class LL state championship. In addition, Coach Murray began his coaching career at Peoria High School working under Mike Olson.  He has also served as the head baseball coach for the Peoria and Stamford Legion Baseball programs.  This is his nineteenth year as a special education teacher and coach. Coach Murray played for Coach Kalmer at Bradley University where he was a left-handed pitcher.  He is married to Jami who is from Huntley and played volleyball at Bradley University.  Together, they have two boys, Jaxsen and Braden.
